About Me
My journey as a therapist began with a deep love and care for those struggling around me. Through my work experiences in the in-home, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings, I gained both clinical expertise and a genuine joy in helping people navigate their mental health in and through difficult seasons of life.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, family of origin, and life transitions. I also work with couples seeking premarital or couples therapy. My goal and hope as your therapist is to understand you deeply, equip you with the tools and insight you need, and ultimately help you discover and experience real change in your life.
My approach is compassionate and collaborative while also intentional and directive. Clients feel heard and included in the process but don’t leave my sessions feeling like it was just a vent session. There will be space to process what you’re experiencing, but we won’t stop there. We’ll look underneath those experiences to identify patterns, gain insight into the deeper roots of your struggles, and work towards adopting healthier thinking patterns and making practical changes in your daily life.
I utilize CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, and narrative modalities, and for couples work I utilize EFT and the Gottman Method. Due to my background and theological training, faith can be integrated into our sessions at your request.
